I suppose it should really be the United States of America, but as I Brit I
always use U.S.A. because, like you, I am sure the rest of the world know
where it is, except, perhaps, for some yet to be found tribes living in a
rain forest somewhere!!

Are there any cons to using the abbreviation USA instead of United
States?  I could do a global replace, I guess, but I started using USA
because I thought it was now internationally recognized.   I always use
Co for County and I do not abbreviate States or Provinces either.   --Jerry
