Bill,Head of household was "Lorenzo Magassey, age 57, carriage painter" vs.
"Lorenzo Migasi, age 57, careg painter", neither common names. Given names of
family members corresponded. The household in the later, supposedly official
census, included a family member I had not been able to find in the previous
version. Both versions, apparently enumerated 5 months apart gave me important
information

I use the date of enumeration for the reasons stated by others (records date of
residence, individuals or families listed twice). I have even found one family
listed in the 1880 census on June 2nd and the page was marked with a stamp,
"First enumeration rejected." Later I found the same family on another page
dated November 9th with a different surname spelling, at a different address,
and with different family members. I think the actual date of the enumeration
is essential. The official date is easily available and could be entered in
the Master Source "Comments" block.
