Also keep in mind that if you have a few entries that include misspellings or jumbled info you can combine them to be the correct one (huge time-saver). I went through this process of standardizing my locations, did not really take that long because I worked in the master list - saw who was in any location and that helped me with the combinations. Also got rid of all locations not in use, made sure the long form and the short form were to my liking (I use USA and will continue to do so). Now that it is clean, once a month I take a quick look through (scrolling) to clean up any little mistakes from the previous month. I pretty much have it down now. No worries - much like the master sources (which I also cleaned up) it was a project that I worked on for a set amount of time each day - took a few weeks - and now my database is pretty clean.
