I'm sure all I do is use CTRL+I before and after the words I want in Italics - works every time. I know I never use the ASCI character numbers.

And how do you enter the 'small brackets'? copying from an email written in a different codepage might be problematic. The characters are not engraved on a keyboard, so you need to use Alt-0nnn with the numeric keypad (Alt-0171 and Alt-0187) to enter them. I put them on the Special Characters strip so that they're always available. At least that way, the Special Characters editor within Legacy recognises and shows the characters. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
