I have folk born in Little Stonham, Suffolk, England and in Stonham Parva, Suffolk, England. These are actually the same place and the two names seem to be used interchangeably, particularly in censuses.
Similarly Great Stonham and Stonham Magna. For Little Stonham, most references say "Little Stonham, sometimes called Stonham Parva,..." which seems to indicate that Little Stonham is preferred. However the church is always referred to as "St. Mary's Church, Stonham Parva". Does anyone have any ideas how best to handle this?
