Teresa, You do not say which version of Legacy, nor whether deluxe, so if my suggestions do not work properly please come back giving these details.
To sort the kids in order of birthdate: In Family View with the parents in the main boxes, right click on one of the Kids, select ‘Settings’ and then ‘Sort’. Do note, however, that all kids without a birthday will appear at the start of each list. You will need to do this for every family where they kids are not in date order. Photos for Events: Yes they have to be attached to the Event and the Event will need to be in the report. Only the picture selected as ‘preferred’ will be published for each Event. But where are you trying to enter them? It has occurred to me that you may mean the Chart, in which case I don’t think you can. For the Narrative Report, select ‘Report Options’ and in the ‘Include’ tab the appropriate Events. Then in the ‘Pictures’ tab the picture sizes etc. Note: If you are using an old version of Legacy then it may not include Legacy Charting. This is available in Legacy 7.5, and I think in the Basic version, which will allow pictures in the Wall Chart. Depending on how you intend to print the chart, it may be too big for a large family. I've had Legacy a few years, but because of computer issues hadn't done much "detail" work with it until recently. I'm planning a presentation at a family reunion, which includes a descendants chart as well as a printed descendant narrative book. In preparation, I've discovered a few things I'm having problems with. First, I can't seem to sort children. Because of the spread out nature of the family and huge size (This is only a 3 generation project with over 150 pages for the descendant narrative book as is), I didn't realize until recently that I'm unable to reorder children. They show up in the exact order I entered them, which is not always correct. How do I reorder children and make it sort them by birthdate? Second, I have imported a number of photos for events. I purposely put these photos in the project to be printed when the "book" is printed and yet I can find no way to include these photos OR events into the project. How do I add these? Do I have to move them to the individual photos to be included and put the events in the narrative? Any help would be appreciated!
