As far as I know, there is no GEDCOM involved with Families. It has a two way interface with your Legacy file, updates on either your computer or your tablet are synced to the other. The Ipad version uses Itunes to sync, Android version uses a separate syncing app.
Paul Why does "Gedcom your file into it" set off warning bells in my head? Don't we lose things in that translation?
