Split Screen is two files open in separate windows within a single instance of Legacy. It's a limited form of a tiled, MDI interface. Similar to tiling all your open windows on the Windows Desktop. Not having a dual-monitor machine to experiment with, I suppose it might be possible to stretch the Legacy window so that it occupied the width of two screens. Then, you could have one file on each screen. You'd just need to position the vertical splitter bar dividing the two files so that it was at the edges (right on one and left on the other) of the screens. DON'T MAXIMISE THE WINDOW! That will only fill one screen with the Legacy window and you won't be able to stretch it across two screens. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
