Paula, Putting something out on the web *is* publishing, it is likely to be read by more people than those who would read a book on the same subject as the website, and you are displaying to the world at large how competent, or otherwise, you are. Which is why those of us who do publish on the web take extreme care over the presentation of the site as a whole and, in particular, the accuracy of the information which we present.
