Barbara, Have you searched the archives yet for "photographs" or "attach
pictures" etc ? Just a suggestion.

Here are my thoughts:
1. You can attach a picture to anyone/anything that has the little picture icon
-or- you can use the picture center >> search the Help for details on both of
these
2. If your pictures are not digital, then scan them and save them (at least)
into the C:\Legacy\Pictures folder (I say "at least" because some people make
subfolders in that folder to help organize their pictures) >> also consider a
naming convention that doesn't involve the use of spaces (search the archives
for some examples)
3. Do not use PDF - that's not really for pictures - I use JPG for the pictures
in the Legacy Pictures folder
4. Most people recommend saving you pictures in a better format than JPG for
permanent storage (e.g., BMP, GIF, TIFF... I am not an expert), then make a JPG
copy (lower resolution & smaller file size) for use in Legacy
5. Search the Help for that proper size question... I assume you mean size to
print on the paper? Then attach a few and run some reports to see how it looks
before you attach them all that way and find out you don't like it.

Good luck!

Subject: [LegacyUG] New: How to attach a picture in file

I have updated Legacy Deluxe using Windows. I've never attached picutres and
now want to.
1) How do attach a photo? I want them with my individuals and to show up on
the reports
2) I have a scanner. Should I use that then save to my pictures file and then
download to Legacy? If so do I save to pdf or something else?
3) How to get the proper size?

Thanks
Barb
