That is the way I do it too. I hit the edit button and change just the name of the county (and state if need be). This is one way to make sure you are 100% consistent on how you format everything. You can only do this for the same year census though! You can’t bring up a 1850 and then edit it to a 1840. Also, be VERY careful to hit the save as new :) :)

So I don’t have to repeat everything I go to one that I previously used (must have someone using it already) and click edit fill in the particulars for the new one then click Save and choose apply to New source. If you try doing this to a source that has no one attached to it the program will change that source without asking for a new one.
