It would be great if all option choices "stuck" like they're supposed to so 
that you don't have to re-invent each report.  Good suggestion.Ron Taylor

Remember that "Reset" resets everything for that report, though.
I was having the opposite "problem" -- I would prefer that the Preview opens at 
a zoom level where I can see the whole page, not just the first 10 lines in 
GIANT font.  Is there a way to control that?  Or should I submit a

Just click on the "Reset" button in the lower right corner of the main
report options if a report isn't formatted correctly.

To set a preferred family (individual), go to Options > Set Preferred
Startup Family.  Then when you click on the Home icon on the main
toolbar, it will always go back to that family/individual.
