Elizabeth,

It sounds like the icon on your desktop may be corrupted. Can you try to run 
Legacy by selecting from the menu when you click on the start button (or Orb).

If that works, close Legacy and then instead of running from the menu, right 
click on the menu item and you should be able to 'Sent to' the Desktop again 
and thus make a new icon.

Yes, I've done that several times. I've been trying to get Legacy to open all 
day today and have rebooted numerous times and just get that error message as 
soon as I click on the Legacy icon on my desktop like I always do to open it.. 
Everything else seems to be working fine with my computer. I've run 3 different 
virus scans which found nothing.
