Michele, You are probably all done moving things by now, but I broke my arm early last month and have been out-of-touch. Since it's just 200 pictures, I would just leave them "safe and sound" in the Legacy folder. If they are really pictures, I keep the good resolution one on my external hard drive with all my other photos. (and there was a good webinar about how to organize photos) And if I want to attach them, I save them lower resolution and copy them over. If they are images, like of census records or scanned death certificates, I only have them in the Legacy folder.
Last year, I went through a "standardize the names of my images" exercise, and the re-linking was excruciating. Just saying. --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Beasley Benson Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Hale Harbaugh Hind Hopkins Hughes Hurdle Jones Klein Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Sanford Short Singer Sullivan Weller Williams ________________________________ From:Michele Lewis <[email protected]> To:[email protected] Sent: Mon, May 28, 2012 12:20:25 PM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] What is the best way to do this?
