Hi Crystal, I think that if you have used a source for ANY portion of the line the text for the labels on the line will change color. For instance, a date of birth which has a source will cause labels for the entire line including the "in" to change color even if you do not have a place of birth. Sources for either a given name or a surname will cause both to change color. When you look at the assigned sources [click on the book icon] you will see that the list shows just "Name", "Birth", "Death", etc. without locations. No change of color does indicate no source. At least this is how it works for me. Marnie
