In your latest email, you never stated that you had reported this before. I think the programmers reasoning for setting the default to ANSEL is a very valid one. If there are genealogy programs which can't read anything but ANSEL and the person creating the gedcom nor the person receiving it doesn't realize that the importing program doesn't recognize ANSEL, then it makes sense to use that option.
Probably the best option would be for the programmers to allow the user to change the default format if they wish to use something other than ANSEL We'll just have to wait and see what the programmers are able to do with your report which was just forwarded to them. Until then, you'll need to work-around it.
