Your explanation does not contain enough information on the steps you
used but my first guess is that you did not first clear the existing
clipboard which contained the 1911 census as the Master Source.

When you open the source clipboard first use the "click here ..." beside
step 1 to change the Master source for the clipboard then you can enter
information for the source details.
