The nearest you will get to that is to use Smelter as a Quoted Given Name, ie enter his forenames as Bernard William Smelter Joseph "Smelter." In Report Options select "Use quoted names for narratives" and "Remove quoted given names" and the first mention of him in a report will be as "Bernard William Smelter Joseph Young" with a note that he was "usually known Smelter" and thereafter he will be referred to as Smelter. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
