When my Yahoo account was hacked, besides changing the password, I
removed all my contacts from the contact list and put them in a draft
email - I can copy/paste from it into a new email.

Not a problem for me since I don't initiate emails from my Yahoo
account very much, but at least I don't have to worry about hackers
sending emails from it now.

Back to Legacy stuff....
