Mary, I sent the pictures to show what my source looked like and what my goal was. It was Confucius who said about 2000 years ago that one picture is better than 1000 word. The size of the pictures were deliberatly kept very small as both, together, had under 300kB.
First of all. The information that the email is free of viruses isn't from me as I know my emails are always free from viruses and don't have to advertise for AVG. The second. As I know where to find information on the Legacy web pages I don't need reminders telling me where to find it. Most email programs have the possibily to use more than one signature. Legacy team please no hard feelings for the next line. Perhaps you could create a new one for this list without the junk at the end of this email. I know the intention was meant well. Mary. Sorry you're expecting from me to remove something not coming from me but eg. from you. That's not my job but your's. Bernhard -----Original Message----- From: M. And also, please trim your messages. There are 5 copies of the Legacy links automatically added to each email. Thanks much! Mary -----Original Message----- From: Bernhard Scholz [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 4:20 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] creating passport pictures for Legacy JL, I have found what I was looking. First I searched using the well known 'G' search engine in English using 'create passport picture' The result poor. Then I did a search in German using first 'passbild' and then selected the suggested 'passbild generator' Here I found the www.passbild-generator.de/ It's a pitty as it's at the moment only available in German. Wow that's what I was looking for. I tested it with the picture I talked about. A size of 70mm x 115mm with 10 individuals. Using a Canon LiDE 50 with grey-scale and 1200dpi. The result was 6.5MB file. To reduce the size I resanned it with only 150dpi. I can open eg '.jpg' or '.tif' files up to a size of over 8MB. I can move around to search the pearson I want panning using my mouse. I can magnify just using the scroll wheel. The result can be seen in the 'test_01_Passbild.jpg'. I needed less than 60 seconds to get the result I wanted and am aware of the quality but better a picture with a low quality than none at all. Using other tools the quality could be improved a little bit but missing information can't be added. I will donate a small fee, over 20 EUR, and recieved the lisence for the Pro-Version and that's even better.
