Please change the subject a little even if it might fit your question. I made a screen capture [JPG] of the listings and they appear to be all over the place. I use the Legacy Archive a file when I'm done updating the project. I have several projects going at one time. My Mom and Dad are separate as is my husbands, a one name study and then my daughter in law and sons in law. When I started 35 years ago with pencil and paper it didn't seem that big a deal. I use "restore" in Legacy when I move the project from machine to machine. In Legacy, click on View, then Master Lists, then Picture Location. The file paths (everything except the very last part the file name itself) should be listed. What do the paths look like, is your XP user name, or ‘documents and Settings’ in there somewhere? If so, it looks like they are in your user area. When you say using the restore function, are you talking the Legacy backup and restore, or something else? Paul Hi Paul, Thanks for the response. Actually I'm going between 3 computer. A desk top in VA, a laptop that I take for research and a desk top in NJ. I use XP on all machines. As to path I don't have a clue. I just scanned them and assumed they would go into the Legacy folder and transfer the same way the data transfers.
