Not necessarily. It is much more accurate to click on the "Legacy Home" tab and look at the statistics there. If you have never deleted a person from your file, the highest RIN should match the number of people in your file. But life isn't always that clean and tidy, and mistakes are made - or new evidence found - that may result in someone being deleted for a variety of reasons - for example, this would have happened if you had merged all your duplicates in the problem you first reported to us. Don't get hung up on the RINs. They are unique identifiers (ie, each person has their own number, and no two people have the same RIN), but other than that they're really meaningless. If your file is anything like mine, you are RIN #1 - but after that it all goes to custard because it depends on who you enter next as to who has which number. My parents are #2 and #3, then my sister, then her two husbands, then my grandparents start at #7 with my mother's father. The only logic is how my brain was thinking at the time I started the file, nothing more. My partner happens to be #246, which I find convenient to remember, but that is just how it played out - when I started, I had no intention of including him in my family file. Hope this helps. :-) Wendy Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
