Go to "view", then "master lists", then "location". Click on "options" to the right, and then on "expand/contract location parts".
Make sure the "all locations in list" is marked under "Records to Change", and the "Expand Long Location Names and contract Short Location names is marked" under the "Action to take". Check the "Add, 'United States' under the "USA Country Names". Click "Continue" in top right and ta-da, it's done!
