Excellent as always, Michele! What is your opinion on leaving out the actual URL? Or maybe leaving out the bit past .org ? There was a thread a not long ago which discussed how websites change & should we go out and update our citations to match? (so future researchers can get right back to the record) I shuddered to think of having to do that... worse, of having to go back and check that every detail URL I've cited still works?? Anyway, that's the source (no pun intended) of my question. --Paula

I am going to source it as index/database and see how close we can get ☺ I first look at templates for marriages and I can’t use that because we don’t know WHERE exactly FS got this particular marriage records (church register? Certificate?) So, I would use the Internet > Database In the fields I left everything blank down to Database Title.. Database Title: England Marriages, 1538-1973 Format: index [I changed it from the default database] Website Creator: I left this blank Website Title: FamilySearch URL: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N6SN-S3R Date: I left this blank Then in the detail I put Item of interest: Thomas Llewelyn and Jane Morris, 24 Jul 1827 Date Accessed: 30 Aug 2012 Credit line: citing reference 463, FHL microfilm 1040004 And here is the output I got: "England Marriages, 1538-1973," index,FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N6SN-S3R : accessed 30 Aug 2012), Thomas Llewelyn and Jane Morris, 24 Jul 1827; citing reference 463, FHL microfilm 1040004.
