I've been having a similiar problem for a few months.   It only happens
occasionally, but is still annoying.  After exiting Legacy>File>Exit, then when
I start it up again that particular family file will not open and I get a
message saying File not found.  I have two other family files and they will
open, bur not the last one I was working on.  So far I've been able to shut
down my computer and then open Legacy and it opens as it should.   It's
happened with my two main files several times, one I'm not ver active on.
