Hi, Anthony, Thanks -- I did that without a problem. However a weird thing is now happening when I try to open the .gedcom.
I click on File>Import from>Gedcom. It goes to the folder I have my .gedcoms in and I click on the file I want <filename>.ged It puts the name of the file in the Filename box/slot, and I click on "Open." It immediately takes me to another window. Only the tail-end of the filename is showing in the filename box/slot, and the only kind of filetype showing in the lower right above the Open button is Legacy(*.fdb). No filenames are displayed in the window and instead it says "No items match your search" !!! So now what do I do???
