Pat, By generic, do you mean a generic GEDCOM as selected from the drop-down list, if so then it should include Sources. Ah!!! I just realised that you are probably using Source Writer when I expect the Source Details to be dropped by pretty well all of them except for Legacy GEDCOMs, and I’m not even sure about that one! Even if the GEDCOM contains the Source Details the chances of them being imported into another program are just about zero.
The GEDCOM standards are old, out-dated, and past it! This is nothing to do with Legacy just inertia by the GEDCOM standards committee (or what have you).
