I have 4 documents pertaining to my father becoming a US citizen. They are: 1. Declaration of Intention, 2. Petition for naturalization, 3. Oath of Allegience, and a 4. US Naturalization Records Index form that gives the "Date of order of Admission" as well as the certificate number and date for the Declaration of Intention.
I would like to know how others approach entering this type of data. For example, do you create one Naturalization Event for *each* document, (end result, 4 Events), or, perhaps because there is duplication within each form, does anyone extract pertinent data from each document and created one Naturalization event? I also noted that Legacy has a "Citizenship" event and a "Naturalization" event. Is there a time to use one over the other? Thanks in advance for your input.
