It's called "Split View". You may already have an icon for it visible in the bar above your family in Legacy, otherwise via the menu go View > Split Screen View.
You'll be asked "Do you want to open a different Family File in the new window?" - click on the Yes button to then select a second file. Clicking on the No button will result in the same file being opened in the new window, so you can look at two different parts of the same file. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy On Tue, Oct 16, 2012 at 12:40 PM, MJ SA <[email protected]> wrote: > How can I have two different family trees open and switch back and > forth to view them? > > M > Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
