I find it easier to do just that, after having made a backup with *all* the 
boxes ticked. This will ensure that all your data relating to your family is 
carried across.

However, this backup does not include your Legacy settings - colours, fonts 
etc. i.e. in effect all your Legacy customisations, these are contained in the 
.usr files which, as Sherry said, also need to be copied across.
