Be aware that any counties you find are for *current* counties, not
historical counties that the city/town were in during the time of the
event.

That's where USA County Verifier comes in - to let you know if you
have the correct county.

Also, the Geo Location Database in Legacy will direct you to the
current county for most any location in the US.
