Hey, John--thanks for pointing that out to me! I keep forgetting that tagging is often "hiding" behind the Options button!
I was able to set my 5th greatgrandfather as the "left" person and myself as the "right" person in the relationship calculator and then "tag relationship line", export to a Legacy file and run an ancestor report on me. (This is a Rev War patriot through my maternal grandmother.) However, I noticed that my 5th greatgrandfather is NOT in the resulting database/report. must be that the "common ancestor" in the relationship calculator is NOT tagged when you select to "tag relationship line" -- only the "descendants from common ancestor". Hmm... Still, it is worthwhile working with it a bit more to see if I can get what I think I want. ;) Thanks again! --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Beasley Benson Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Hale Harbaugh Hind Hopkins Hughes Hurdle Jones Klein Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Sanford Short Singer Sullivan Weller Williams ________________________________ From: John S. Couldn't you create a tagged group of direct line ancestors using the Relationship Calculator? John S.
