<In reality many obits. are sanitised versions of the truth anyhow.> LOL !!

What, my father wasn't the sweet loving kind man the obit said he was? :-)

One more thing to remember about obits...the so-called facts were supplied by
well-meaning relatives during a time of great emotional stress. And the
surviving spouse may not have been involved in supplying the facts, but rather
some relative from out-of-town who is half-guessing at each statement. Think of
a typical résumé, and that's about on an equal low level of the validity of
truth and accuracy. (At least my résumés were.)

How can it possibly be a fact in a person's life when the person is dead? In
reality many obits. are sanitised versions of the truth anyhow.
