If you reply to a message from the [LegacyFS] mailing list, you will see 
[LegacyFS] in the subject line. The [LegacyFS] prefix is being supplied by your 
email program. If you also post the same reply to the [LegacyUG] mailing list 
(like I'm doing now, which is not good etiquette, but I only did this for 
testing) I would expect to see [LegacyUG] in the subject line of that post in 
addition to the [LegacyFS] prefix I sent.

Depending on how your email message rules are configured both replies may be 
filed in the same folder leading you to think they both came from the same list.

    How can you tell which mailing list you are receiving emails from?  Until 
recent postings I thought I was getting both, now I am not so sure.
