Pat, What I have generally done is:
add the new Basic source master and set up a citation in the source clipboard;
tag the individuals who have the old SW source cited (use "show list") and go
through the tagged list:
click on the 'books' icon to see their citations & wherever the old SW source is
cited (could be multiple fields), click "remove" and then click "-" to apply the
citation from the clipboard.
(I think it's "-")
(the cursor stays on the correct item in the person's information list);
untag the person.
When you reach the end of the tagged list, you should be able to delete the old
SW master source because there are no remaining citations.

This really is faster than trying to figure out a way to "automatically convert"
them, especially if you're talking only 20 or so people. I only have a couple
of sources that are used by more than that many people anyway.

If something minor needs to change for different individuals (like a page number
in a book), then set the detail in the clipboard to "prompt for detail" (check
box lower left).

Subject: [LegacyUG] replacing source -- SourceWriter to Basic

How can I replace a source written with a SourceWriter template with the same
identical source but written using the Basic template? As you probably already
know, you can't merge the two.
