Syble, You are quite correct to suggest that 300dpi is about right for printing, and also that 72 is too low. I tend to think that the appropriate resolution depends on how one mainly publishes the work. Mine is on the web, for which 90dpi is the most suitable and that is what I use for Legacy pictures.
