Brian,

This subject has been debated many times, and I suggest that you are incorrect 
to describe yourself as a purist. For me, a census is only a Source - pure and 
simple!  No problem with those who are visiting, the English census records 
this, and so do I in the Residence Event notes.

My view as to the treatment of census data is just as valid as yours.
