By default, all children are assumed to be biological unless otherwise stated.
There should be no need to ascribe a biological status between parents and
children. That said, there should be nothing stopping you from doing it your own
way. Just be aware that there are effectively two status fields on the
Children's Settings window: Child Status and Relationship to Father/Mother.

The relationship fields are where a 'biological' status occurs. When first
installed, there is no such setting for the Child Status.

Are you mixing things up?
