MJ SA,

Based on Geoff's comment recently (I'm paraphrasing as I don't recall the exact
words) "The developers are tring to work out an issue that is giving them
problems", I wouldn't expect the release of version 8 anytime in the near
future.

When version 7 was released, there was supposed to be a built in option to
convert sources from basic source to sourcewriter. After months and months of
assuring users that this option would be released "soon" it was eventually just
dropped. There never was an honest admission from the folks at Legacy that
they had bitten off more than they could chew and were not able to provide a
function that they had promised.

It sounds like the programmers have encountered a similar situation with
version 8, but this time they are going to try to work the issue out before
releasing the software and/or promising a function that they can't deliver.

good to know, how long do beta testers get Legacy before it is sold to the
public?
