Hi, Ward, Well, I've not previously (before c 3 weeks ago) encountered the problem.
I don't have any problem with words/spaces in the middle of the line; it's just in the first space and it makes no difference how long the line is. I'm not sure I understood precisely what you meant. But I have experimented as you suggest and if I first do a carriage return, and then a backspace to bring everything back to the original position, the spacebar works just fine. Thanks for your help!
