Hi Pat,
That is perfect, now I understand better!
Do I just do that for other items I've found as well? Create an event for
"condemned" and "granted certificate to"?
Thank you very much for the help. There's a lot in the Quaker records that I've
found and I was starting to feel overwhelmed. This will definitely keep the
information organized and in a more presentable/coherent format.

Julia,
This is what I had in mind:
Standard sentence definition:
[EventName]: [Desc], [Date], [Place].[Sources] [Notes]
Event with fields filled in:

[EventName]: Married [Desc] out of unity at Burlington Monthly Meeting
[Date] 26 Jan 1832 [Place] Burlington, BURLINGTON, NJ, USA[Notes] According
to Quaker Monthly Meeting minutes (and because John was Catholic)
[Sources] My suggested revision of sentence definition:[Notes],
[Couplefirstnames] were [-EventName] [Desc] [onDate] [inPlace]. [Sources]

The result would read as follows:
According to Quaker Monthly Meeting minutes (and because John was Catholic),
John and Lydia were married out of unity at Burlington Monthly Meeting on 26
Jan 1832 in Burlington, BURLINGTON, NJ, USA.1

I realize a Catholic is not likely to be married in a Quaker Monthly Meeting,
but I hope this will give you a working example!
If this doesn't work, if you tell me exactly how you want the result to read,
I'll give it another try!

Pat
