The missing numbers may have been from deleted records. As a general rule, I always run a check/repair before any merging. That file maintenance routine may fix any of the missing numbers and other database structure problems so they won't affect the merge. If check/repair does not report any trouble with missing numbers, you should be good to go. Ron Taylor
