You could try (after making a copy of your legacy.fdb file) 1) Exporting your existing file to gedcom 2) Opening up the gedcom in wordpad and do a replace all CENS with RESI (Matching case and whole words only) 3) Import gedcom back into Legacy

I am now evaluating a genealogy web publishing software product call Joaktree which is a Joomla extension application. Unfortunately the Joaktree product is not configured to process the Census Gedcon tag CENS. Joaktree does process the Residence Gedcom tag. I am wondering if I could use the combine duplicates function in the master events definition list screen to combine the Census event into the Residence event? I am a bit reluctant to do this as I am not exactly sure what the impacts might be. Does anyone have any advice that they could share on this question.
