I know how you feel with TOO MANY messages irrelevant to you, but I just skim

It is not possible to include the contents of a word document in any report
created by Legacy. To have the contents of the word document in the data for
the person or as part of a source you will have copy the contents and paste
them into the person's notes, notes for an event or as Source text if you want
to include the contents as part of the source citation.

The Publication Centre does have a place holder where you can reserve space for
an external document as a chapter of the book. You would create the Legacy
portion of the book but would then have to insert your word document in the
final product once it has been printed.
