One word of caution in terms of having a single Religion event and assuming the person was that religion throughout their lives. Although it is rare to have a Catholic to change to a Protestant based religion (including Church of England) it was not unheard of. The same goes for a Protestant changing to become a Catholic, although in that case there will be some interesting documents concerning the renouncing of heresy (especially pre-Vatican II days). Additionally, at least in parts of Ontario and the Maritime provinces of Canada, Protestants could switch religions depending on what schism had occurred or if there was a closer church when they moved.
As with all events, a judgment call needs to be made for each person and you need to watch out for assumptions.
