Mark, Bottom line, I'm not aware of any genealogical program that supports true synchronization, i.e. copying *updates only* from the database where they are created to other linked databases.
What is your situation? Do you have multiple researchers collaborating on a single project, or is it a single user (you) trying to keep multiple computers (e.g. desktop and laptop) up to date? If it's multiple users (I'm assuming it is since you mentioned Intellishare), I can see why you would not want to use Dropbox since you have to be very careful to prevent user A from overwriting User B's updates. Just too dangerous.... Legacy's Intellishare is the best option I know of for having multiple users update files without worrying about what other users are doing and then merging the results. Other than that, I think your only option is some kind of centralized online file such as an Ancestry member tree, but you lose a lot of features (e.g. virtually no reports) that way. If it's just you updating multiple computers, then I don't know what the objection is to Dropbox or one of it's cousins. I am NOT looking for a solution such as dropbox or drive which simply copies the entire database from one place to another. I know there is Intellishare but this seems very outdated. To, in my case, have to merge two databases back to a master and then copy the updated master back to the other two computers (manually) seems ridiculous. Surely there is some genealogy program that does real synchronisation. For me, this one feature far outways many other fancy features that I never use. If Legacy does not support synchronisation, is there any other program that does?
