Hi Connie, That rather depends on what those instructions tell you to do. You haven't told us what these instructions you have are, so we can't tell from this distance what the result will be.
Make a backup of your file before doing anything, so if things don't turn out as planned, or you don't like the result, you can always restore the backup and continue as things were. Or, make a copy of your file and use that to create what you're going to send to your cousin. leaving your main file untouched. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy Connie said the following on 3/06/2013 12:39 a.m.: > I want to send a copy of part of a family file to a cousin. > > I have some instructions for making the split but will the family be > removed from the main file completely or will it just be a duplicate? > Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
