This is a very basic function provided by the Search facility. Press Ctrl-F to begin. a) Select the Detailed Search tab b) Look for whom? - select Marriage from the dropdown c) Where to look - select Marriage Place from the dropdown d) How to look - Select Contains from the dropdown e) What to look for - entry Surrey f) Make sure that Clear list beofe this search has been selected g) Press the Create List button and ... voila! Of course, this only finds marriages that took place in Surrey. If you want to know if the family was ever in Surrey, then you have to include a check of the Marriage Notes and Marriage Event-place. These can be added to the initial condition by 'Or'ing them together. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg (g) Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
