forgot to say that the source clipboard is a DELUXE feature

Cheryl:

I will tell you the process that I use, generically, and it works fine.

In Family view, edit a persons individual information.
You can set up a new source by going to the sources icon.
Once you have a new or old source selected, then you can copy that source to
the clipboard (see small icon that looks like 2 pages - on on top of the other
-- that is the copy to clipboard icon).

Now in the Family view, to assign that source from the clipboard to all data
fields for an individual, you just click the 3 dashes icon on left of screen.Â

If you are positioned in the name field and only want to assign the source to
that field plus the birth field, just click the 1 dash icon on left of
Individual Information screen (that assigns the source to the Name field).
Move to the birth field and click the 1 dash icon on left and you now have
assigned the clipboard source to the birth field.

Once you copy the source to the clipboard, then it is just 2 clicks and you
have assigned it to another field.

Try it, you will like it.

1. I would like to be able to assign a source to more than
one fact at a time. WHY? A birth record generally has both
the name of the child and the birthdate. Having to go
through the steps to source each individually is pointless.

2. I would like to skip the extra clicks to get from SELECT
source to individual data-entry screen. WHY? I never ever
use that Full-text feature, making those steps a waste of
time for me.

I don't see any way to do either of those in the free
version and haven't had time to check the deluxe version.
If it's possible in either, could someone give me directions?

Thanks.

[And if it isn't possible, could we add it to wish-list?]
