What form do your File IDs take? Is there some element which is common to all, or most, of them, such as a particular letter, number or letter/number combination? If there is, you can use that in the Search for Field, leave the Replace with field blank and click the Replace entire field with replacement text option. If there is nothing that is present in *all* your File IDs you may need to repeat this process a few times to cover all possibilities. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
